More and more fake jailbreaks are active on the internet. This time, the fake jailbreak is Spring Jailbreak, by @DevelopApple. Let's see why it is fake.

The jailbreak promises 10.3.1 - 10.3.3 jailbreak.

Reasons this jailbreak is fake:

1. ziVA, an Exploit which the jailbreak claims to use, was patched in iOS 10.3.2.

2. When he launches Cydia, the advertisements don't load. Note that he is on WiFi. This probably means the application which you see, supposedly cydia, is probably just an empty shell with the first tab having a WebView which points to http://cydia.saurik.com , or a crawled version of the website, with the same useragent string Cydia uses. Anyone with Xcode can do this in a matter of minutes.(Some are saying that the list doesn't load for them either on their jailbroken device. If that is the case, the first part of this point is invalid.)

3. Cydia does not need to be redownloaded every time you jailbreak your iDevice with a tethered jailbreak. Cydia is still there after a reboot, it's just not launch-able. In laymen's terms, cydia only needs to be enabled, but not redownloaded or reinstalled every time you jailbreak.

4. The icon of Cydia in his earlier tweets (the multitasking tweet) shows the <=iOS 6 Cydia icon.

5. New: The video was edited. The original recording cuts at 00:49 and a new recording is added. I didn't notice this, /u/K3gger01 did. If you don't see it, look at the top bezel of the phone at 00:49.

This fake is a pretty good fake, but still fake.

Don't fall for random people claiming to have a jailbreak.
