If your iPhone or iPad can detect 3uAirPlayer but fails to connect, the issue is often caused by the device being connected to a modem-router combo provided by the ISP.
These devices usually have basic routing capabilities and may cause network compatibility issues or port restrictions. As a result, the device may successfully discover 3uAirPlayer but fail to establish a connection.
Try the following solutions.
Solution 1: Check the Network Device and Adjust the Setup
First, check whether your phone is connected directly to a modem-router combo.
If this is the case, it is recommended to use a separate standalone router that is not customized by the ISP.
After purchasing a router:
1. Follow the router manufacturer’s installation guide to complete the setup.
2. Connect all devices, including your phone and computer, to the same standalone router network.
3. Try connecting to 3uAirPlayer again.
Using a dedicated router usually provides better compatibility and more stable local network communication.
Solution 2: Disable VPN Software and Try Again
Check whether VPN or proxy software is enabled on your computer or phone.
Examples include:
●VPN applications
●Proxy tools
●Network tunneling or region bypass tools
These tools may interfere with the network connection and prevent successful mirroring.
Turn off the VPN software first, then try connecting again.
Solution 3: Check and Fix Firewall Issues
The computer’s firewall may block the connection.
You can try either of the following methods:
Option 1: Disable the Firewall Temporarily
Turn off the firewall on your computer and try reconnecting.
Option 2: Use the Built-in Driver Detection Tool
Open 3uAirPlayer and locate the Driver Detection Tool.
Click “One-Click Detection.”
If the tool detects abnormal firewall rules, use “One-Click Repair” to fix the issue automatically.
After the repair is completed, try screen mirroring again.
Solution 4: Restart the Router
Why Restart the Router?
If the router has been running for a long time, temporary network issues may occur, such as:
●Network congestion
●IP address conflicts
●Signal interference
Restarting the router resets the network connection and may restore normal communication between devices.
Steps to Restart the Router
1. Locate the router’s power adapter and unplug it
(or turn off the physical power switch if available).
2. Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute to ensure the internal cache is fully cleared.
3. Plug the power back in (or turn the router back on).
4. Wait for the router to restart completely.
The indicator lights should return to normal (usually a solid power light and stable WiFi signal indicator).
5. After the router finishes starting, reconnect your phone and computer to the router’s WiFi network and try connecting to 3uAirPlayer again.
Important Notes
After restarting the router, make sure that both the phone and the computer are connected to the same WiFi network from the same router.
Avoid connecting to:
●Guest networks
●Sub-networks
These networks may have device isolation enabled, which prevents devices from communicating with each other.
