Apple launched macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 to the public in early 2018, and now the company is moving ahead with another beta test for a minor update.

Apple today officially seeded the seventh developer beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.4. As the version number suggests, this is a minor update. As such, it will more than likely not host any major, forward-facing features for the end user. It is more than likely going to focus on behind-the-scenes tweaks and adjustments, as well as performance improvements in key areas.

To update, developers must be registered with Apple and have the appropriate profile installed on the hardware. Once that is done, they can either download and install the software from Apple’s dedicated developer portal, or as an over-the-air (OTA) update on supported Macs.

At the time of publication it is not known what is new in the most recent beta seed for macOS High Sierra. There are still some features that Apple has announced recently but aren’t available for the desktop operating system, including Business Chat in iMessage (which was recently announced with iOS 11.3), as well as support for ad-free music videos in Apple Music. Apple users are still waiting for iCloud support in Messages as well, and it was recently discovered that Apple actually included “Messages in iCloud” in the first developer beta of iOS 11.3 — so it’s possible that macOS support is coming soon as well.
