There is no Home button in iPhone X, for some iOS uses, they can’t get used to use their iPhone X without the Home button in a short time. If you're really missing that Home button, however, Apple's built-in AssistiveTouch tool can help you out by adding a virtual Home button on your iPhone X's screen.

How to Add a Virtual Home Button to iPhone X with AssistiveTouch?

Step1: Firstly, open the Settings app on your iPhone X.

Step2: Now click General and come to the item Accessibility.

Step3: At Accessibility you will find the item "Assistive Touch", opens it.

Step4: Then a virtual button appears on the display.

Under "My actions" you can now assign various functions to the virtual control - for example, a simple press for the home screen or a long press for the activation of Siri.

You can move the virtual home buttons at any time in their position according to the drag-and-drop principle (press and hold) and, for example, place them at the bottom edge of the screen as you would expect from older iPhone models.

With this virtual Home button, you can back to the home screen as usual, switch to multitasking view or activating voice assistant - Siri. Even the 3D touch feature supports the virtual home button.
