His appearance on 26 July, courtesy Apple Music selecting the Nigerian artist for its Up Next series, sees British host Corden join in introducing the Tilapia singer, and thereafter attempt some dance moves with the singer.

Apple Music’s Up Next series, which began in April, is intended to showcase “Music’s Next Generation” by promoting a new artist every month. In announcing the series the company pledged to use “all of its resources to give their music visibility to new audiences.” So far it has selected US artists 6lack and Khalid as well as Norway’s Sigrid for the series.

Along with his appearance on the Late Late Show, where he sang a medley of his singles In the Morning and Leg Over, both off the Accra to Lagos mixtape, Mr Eazi is the subject of a documentary and a Beats 1 interview. Both documentary and interview are exclusively accessible on the Apple Music platform.

In a clip advertising the documentary, Mr Eazi (born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade) speaks mentions some criticism concerning his quick rise to fame. He responds by channelling a line from Jay Z’s 2001 hit song, Izzo (H.O.V.A): “Those who do not feel me are not real to me, hence they don’t exist.”
