Apple Fixes Location Permissions Issue With macOS 13.5.1 Update

Apple has released macOS Ventura 13.5.1, incorporating a single fix for location permissions settings not displaying.

"macOS Ventura 13.5.1 fixes an issue in System Settings that prevents location permissions from appearing," said Apple.

The 13.5.1 update comes a few weeks after macOS Ventura 13.5 was released. At the time Apple released the update the company said that the release provided "important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users," boilerplate Apple text for a minor maintenance release.

After macOS Ventura 13.5 was released, users discovered that their Macs would not display location permissions for apps, found in the Location Services section of the Privacy & Security system setting. The bug affected both existing apps and newly installed ones.

The new release, build 22G90, is available for download through Software Update under System Settings.
