Another day, another tweak. This new tweak aims to bring iOS 11 Control Center to iOS 10 users. Here’s how it works.

How Maize works

There has been a lot of hype around the “XI” series of tweaks. However, most of them were buggy and fell short of the mark. This tweak is here to change that.

Maize Cydia tweak ports iOS 11 Control Center to iOS 10 firmware. It is developed by developers Andrew Wiik and LaughingQuoll.

It has been under development since 5 months and it shows. Here’s a video demonstration fo this amazing tweak.

As is evident, the attention to detail is absolutely impeccable here. The animations, icons, look and feel just matches iOS 11 in every possible manner.

Once you install it, there are no preferences that need configuring in the preview version. It just begins to work straight out of the box.

The final commercial build will come with a proper Settings section and you will be able to order modules to your liking.

Maize VS ControlCenterXI

ControlCenterXI, developed by LaughingQuoll, is yet another similar port. However, the quality and overall functionality are not good at all.

The difference is clearly there. Maize just performs better overall and pips it in almost every area.

Although ControlCenterXI is cheaper, I would still recommend all users to go for Maize.

The developers have decided to offer all CCXI users a 50% discount for an upgrade. If you already purchase CCXI, you can get it for just $1.50.

The developer is also actively working to weed out bugs. So if you come across any glitch or bug or have a feature request, report it to the developers on GitHub.

This is by far the best tweak iOS 11 Control Center port thus far. At $3.00, it is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

The developer also intends to add support for iOS 9 in the future. Therefore, iOS 9 users will also be able to get iOS 11 CC very soon.
