Apple is reportedly rolling out a new inspection tool that allows store employees to check iPhones inside sealed boxes without opening them.
The device helps detect missing phones or components in returned packages, reducing fraud while keeping products in their original packaging for resale.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple began deploying the tool to retail stores in October 2026.
