Apple has released a new firmware update for its upcoming Beats 360 headphones, adding to growing evidence that the new over-ear headphones could be officially announced soon.

MacRumors first reported the Beats 360 name after the headphones appeared in Amazon and other retailer listings. Although some of those listings have since been removed, they revealed several details about the upcoming product.
